Dr. Janell Wilson

Dr. Wilson is the Chief Medical Officer of a stealth start-up that acquires, manages, and transforms pediatric practices in value-based care arrangements. In this role, Dr. Wilson is creating a care model to improve provider and patient satisfaction and support the vision of enabling every child to have access to great, high-quality care. Dr. Wilson brings with her 10+ years of experience in primary care delivery in various settings, value-based care, and telehealth.

Dr. Wilson is a board-certified family physician and has been delivering direct patient care for over 10 years. During that time, she has also held numerous medical leadership positions.  Previously, she served as the founding medical director at Nest Health, responsible for development and oversight of the Nest Health clinical model focusing on innovating hybrid (in-person and virtual), evidence-based care, and member satisfaction to bring equitable care to underserved communities. Prior to that, she has also served as the Market Medical Director for two value-based care organizations, ArchWell Health and Humana, where she managed medical providers and created policies and protocols that improved key metrics and provider retention and engagement.

Dr. Wilson also holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Howard University College of Medicine, where she was the first female to be conferred with an M.D. and Ph.D. on the same day. She completed her Family & Community Medicine Residency at UPenn/Lancaster General Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs and visiting Disneyland as often as possible.
