Dr. Dale Andres is a retired Pathologist and former Chief Medical Officer and Chief Pathologist at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, as well as MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.  He also served as Medical Director of the Midwest Rural Telemedicine Consortium.

Dr. Andres has been an active member in numerous community organizations throughout Iowa, having held Board of Director positions for Life Serve Blood Center, YMCA of Mason City, Iowa, and Iowa SIDS Alliance. He has also been a Board member of the Iowa Chronic Care Consortium for 14 years and was a former member of the Board of Trustees of Des Moines University.

He is a retired Brigadier General with 23 years of service in the United States Army and Army Reserves. During his service, Dr. Andres served in multiple leadership positions including Chief of Pathology at the 5th General Hospital in Stuttgart Germany, Chief of Blood Bank at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, Surgeon, 103rd Corps Support Command, Des Moines, IA, Commander, 830th Station Hospital, Des Moines, IA, Commander 30th Hospital Center, Ft Sheridan, IL, and Commander 330th Medical Brigade, Ft Sheridan, IL.

Dr. Andres graduated from Westmar College with a BA in Biology and Chemistry, received his MA in Administrative Medicine from the University of Wisconsin, and earned his D.O. from the College of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa.
