Letter From CEO February 2025

Dear HealthTeamWorks Community,

As we continue navigating a rapidly evolving policy landscape, we reaffirm HealthTeamWorks’ unwavering commitment to advancing high-quality health care for everyone. Recent policy shifts could impact efforts to ensure healthcare access, population health advancement, and workforce development. These changes call upon us to lean into our strengths and confirm our values as an organization dedicated to bridging gaps and building resilient health systems.

Cyclic shifts in federal funding priorities underscore the importance of localized, community-driven efforts to sustain behavioral health integration, care management, and chronic disease prevention. HealthTeamWorks remains steadfast in supporting practices in delivering whole-person care by equipping them with the tools and strategies necessary to meet the varied needs of their communities. This includes expanding our support for behavioral health integration and addressing health-related social needs.

Health care workforce sustainability is central to our mission. We will continue to invest in the training and development of Community Health Workers, Care Managers, and Clinical Health Coaches. Through our innovative programs, including registered apprenticeships, we aim to build a resilient and well-prepared workforce that can adapt to changing healthcare landscapes.

In times of uncertainty, collaboration becomes even more essential. HealthTeamWorks remains a trusted partner for primary care practices, public health entities, and community organizations. By fostering cross-sector partnerships, we aim to amplify our collective impact and ensure the health care system remains patient-centered, cohesive, and sustainable. Together with our partners, we will continue to advocate for solutions that prioritize patient care, support health care providers, and address the systemic challenges that hinder health.

We invite you to share your perspectives and insights as we adapt and respond to these changes. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our team with questions or to explore opportunities for collaboration.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to advancing health within your communities. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and create a stronger, more accessible health care system for all.

With gratitude,
Cecilia L. Saffold
